“Room with a View,” by Sónia Aniceto, presents a new series of works where drawing, painting, and free pointillism are based on… drop paper to to explore the balance between pictorial substance, fluid and ethereal, and textile material, dense and rooted. The thread appears as a mediator, a living line that oscillates between the visible and the invisible, the inside and the outside, the surface and the depth, inviting the viewer to travel along it like a cartographic trace — a constantly changing topography, where each line redefines space and transforms the gaze.
In this exhibition, the artworks create landscapes suspended between reality and imagination, acting like windows opening onto an inner horizon. The landscape is fragmented, deferred, sometimes interrupted. Windows, cutouts, and framing direct the gaze, filtering and organizing what we are given to see. Patterns, who are " skins » et textures weave another materiality thrilling, where the image se reveals by some process de reconstruction. Between zones shadow et de clarity, some paths emergent, la light suggests some potential et the colors earn gradually en intensity. partial, fleeting, always en metamorphosis, le landscape insinuates itself as another experiment perceptual, escaping à toute representation frozen.
