Acquisitions et Donations du Musée du Pavillon de Vendôme

Enriching collections is one of the essential missions of our Museums.
The Pavillon de Vendôme Museum has been building up a collection of contemporary works for several years, all of which are linked to the collections, history and architecture of the place.
Support for creation and artists is essential, the majority of acquisitions are made from artists who have exhibited within its walls and from our territory and region.
Thus, we will be able to rediscover the artists who have appeared in the various salons of the Pavillon de Vendôme, and some of whose works will resonate with the old works of the museum: Carolle Bénitah, Eric Bourret, Clémentine Carsberg, Dominique Castell, Corinne De Battista, Karine Debouzie, Marie Ducaté, Nadine Lahoz-
Quilez, Frédérique Nalbandian, Laurent Pernot.
For several years the Pavillon de Vendôme Museum has been developing a dialogue between heritage and creation, between past and present. Artists are regularly invited to appropriate the place, thus offering us a rereading and a different perception each time.
Over the years, new works have entered the Museum's collections. The collection is very much alive, the ancient and contemporary works respond to each other, dialogue and reveal each other. Also, we wish to highlight the work of living artists and thus support and promote, through the acquisition of work, contemporary art, revealing our society.
This exhibition presents a selection of the latest acquisitions and donations from artists who have been presented in our museums. It is scheduled as part of the Drawing Season initiated by Paréidolie.
