Not so long ago, humans maintained a balanced relationship with nature. They recognized themselves as an integral part of the living world and ensured they maintained a symbiotic bond with it that was mutually beneficial to them.
What if art could help restore this harmonious relationship through co-creation? But how? How can we establish a collaboration where humans engage in dialogue with nature and create joint works with it?
This research and experimental residency is an opportunity to explore this approach by observing the free and constrained movements of roots weaving natural textiles. Guided by inspiration, hands will delicately slide dyed threads into them, giving rise to textile compositions with distinct and intimately linked patterns.
