Like a semantic opposition of open and closed, the artist traces a path in the intimate immensity of small things which plays on scales and questions our relationship to reality.

The plot of the house has become a leitmotif, the shelter of thoughts and stories, fragments of stories not told by Corinne De Battista. A place that holds secrets, that contains a portion of history, the symbol of family stories, fragments of others, past presences without nostalgia rather like a reverie or a wandering of intimacy.
The keys hanging, the key to possibilities, evoke the entrance or doorstep of his imagination and his history, recovered or donated materials that do not give themselves up. This dreamlike object comes to anchor itself in reality but it immediately slips away, each key is associated with a miniature house in filigree, fragile and translucent, made of concrete tulle. Inside this cocoon-habitat one can guess a piece of the puzzle, plants, a piece of postcard from a private correspondence, wild boar bristles, a leather strap, a fragment of life […]
The sewing and embroidery to which she gives graphic expression in her latest works, translates a personal vision of the intimate where she embodies heritage, in particular by diverting embroidered family sheets […] These textile practices are gaining their letters of nobility in contemporary creation, emerging from the occupational and domestic framework in which they have been placed until recently.
She strives to disrupt reality, creating a timeless space pursuing a quest for the interiority of things for several years now.
