Guacolda is pleased to announce his next personal exhibition

Guacolda will present pieces there  around the portrait and the self-portrait.

“What if figuration was just an abstraction like any other? Obviously Guacolda likes to situate his representation between two realities: from photography to weaving, from drawing to braiding, all the juxtaposed processes work to interweave the physical frames with the mental and cultural frames. In certain works we are not so far from the framework of the photograph or that of the printer. It is indeed the abstract points of photography or printing that make up the figure.
Taking up the research of the Pointillists using the fragmentation of the touch in order to reveal the different plays of light on the motifs, the artist plays with this ability of the point to reveal a figure. »
