We are in the choir of the church, Christelle Balbinot has installed a sculpture of brass wire made specifically in connection with the theme of the sea. She chose this place by printing a dynamic that is dear to her, that of the shadows cast it will draw on the ground and the vault by a play of projected lights. We are not in front of an object but in an environment and the circulation is fully part of the work in its conception and its realization. Turned towards a graphic dimension, this sculpture mobilizes our eyes, we feel weightless connected to this magnificent place.
His hand weaves the thread by encountering pareidolia that appear allusively: human or animal figures, rising flood of raging waves, atmospheric effects...
After a career as a designer, Christelle develops her artistic approach from this thread and composes a material halfway between sculpture and embroidery, thus creating a link between sewing and drawing in space.
