Christine Smilovici's work "Les Soleils roses" is featured in a dossier of the beautiful Dutch magazine TEXTIEL PLUS.
This work dates from 2021, it came into being during her long months of treatment for breast cancer.
Christine Smilovici embroidered the entire time of chemotherapy, six months.
“It was the first time I embroidered, but I put my heart into it, that is to say my taste for Life.
Today, it touches me to see that all this, this patient and diligent activity, centered on distress, is working, even though it has become detached from me.
I was contacted this summer by a manager from TEXTIEL PLUS and we did an interview in preparation for an article, using our modern means of translation so that the meaning gets across.
