Description of the series

The works on paper, created with a few strokes of pencil and thread, are snapshots of inhabited and experienced places, seemingly silent but teeming with life.

As always with Cenzo Cocca's works, it's impossible to choose whether to look at them right side up or upside down. This is precisely the peculiarity of his embroideries: from the start, the artist does not favor one direction over the other. In fact, often, the reverse side is rich in details that cannot be overlooked to fully discover the work. (Chiara Manca)

 

Cenzo Cocca reveals the deepest intimacy of the soul. Often, it reflects within the walls of home, creating a welcoming environment. In that space, one is divided between being authentically human and presenting oneself to others. Spaces coexist for everyone, a few, and oneself.
