A vast “learning board”, the installation by Lili Bel, a textile artist, invites toddlers to explore the space as true explorers. A world made entirely of crocheted wool, of stretched, suspended threads, in shimmering colors, with a soft and welcoming texture, which can be explored, penetrated, experimented with the body. Bright wool cabins, suspended from their tops, invite little adventurers to hide, nestle, isolate themselves, observe the world without being seen, pause for a few moments...
Then the children alternately cross a curtain of pendants, walk on carpets, find themselves under a cloud of hanging pompoms, lie down on cushions and set off to discover books, treasures hidden here and there in pockets or a "book hammock".
A universe of wool, both surprising and familiar, accessible, playful, joyful and full of surprises.
