Cadencia

Metal wire sculpture presented at Fort l'Ecluse (Ain) as part of the exhibition tangle in duo with Hervé Bacquet from June 18 to September 18, 2022 and from June 17 to September 17, 2023.

Cadence is an exoskeleton expanding from its center, a center that is not materialized but from which emerge a multitude of twisted filaments. These links do not have a functional character and we are not in front of a body or an organ, we are facing a radiating and rooted object which turns on itself whatever the angle from which we observe it. This oscillating balance defies physical and material laws, it is this metallic thread that allows it. By its extreme fineness and its resistance, this thread puts at a distance what it weaves without any demonstrative effect.
Cadence redraws the space with an extremely fluid play of shadows, he encounters his shadow projected on a black yet luminous wall. This sculpture achieves a subtle hybridization of luminous materials and projected images, a way of giving substance to the immaterial.
