In search of the very fashionable practice in the XNUMXth and XNUMXth centuries of working-weaving hair, especially for making jewelry, I was inspired by the treatise of Louis Maribon de Montaut.
A manual, written between 1816 and 1822, which teaches, step by step, how to weave hair from the various basic points, to make jewelry (necklaces, bracelets, rings, watch chains, etc.) and others miscellaneous objects (belts, decorations for snuffboxes and boxes, checkerboards for checkers or chess).
I wish, still dream to make a trade as presented in this book and to find this know-how.
In the meantime, I found that this practice was close to that of bobbin lace and made this modest necklace.
