From wire in 4
For its second edition, From wire in 4 again invites four artists Marie-Noelle Deverre, Nadine Lahoz-Quillez, Sophie Menuet and Mireï Lr to install new works where textiles have a real place, whether or not associated with other materials, to weave new modes of expression in contemporary art, recover, energize the strength of craftsmanship and the yarn and canvas industry in this territory of the Pays Roannais. This exhibition is proposed in resonance with the Biennial of Contemporary Art of Lyon 2022 "Manifesto of Fragility"; vernissage followed by a conference by Yves Sabourin, policy officer for textiles at the Visual Arts Delegation and the DGCA, Ministry of Culture and Communication, artistic creation inspector, Plastic Arts College, curator of projects and of exhibitions.
