Lignes de vie – Fort l’Ecluse

Metal wire sculpture presented at Fort l'Ecluse (Ain) as part of the exhibition tangle in duo with Hervé Bacquet from June 18 to September 18, 2022.

The metallic lines that we observe here plunge our gaze into the sensation of a landscape that is both dry and aquatic, dilated and contracted, like a long braided tongue that seems to float above itself and which disappears into itself. even. This slow work of sewing draws and gives body, and this body resists our own displacements: it is there that the grain of madness of this approach is born, it is there that the immeasurable is born.

The sculpture comes alive with the beams of light that allow infinite adjustments and project other lines everywhere again and again. Randomly from a beam of light, a woman's silhouette, hitherto invisible, appears in an ephemeral shadow like a ghostly figure that would inhabit the place.
