Duration of the performance: 40min - 2h.
MY HOME WAS HERE is a collaborative performance by Maria Bezuglaya and Maria Motyleva, in which the two artists invite the audience to think about what happens when one is forced to leave their own home and move elsewhere in search of a safer place.
What is lost forever and what can be put back together?
What to do when life is broken and how to heal the ruins of the past?
“Home” is approached here both as a physical place that can become inaccessible and as a metaphor that speaks to a number of social, cultural and emotional anchors that serve as individual markers on the rugged path of home. life and are particularly difficult to recover
MY HOME WAS HERE is born from the meeting of two artistic techniques – ceramics and sewing – which are used not only to create new forms but also to repair what has been broken in an intensely personal and poetic way.
The performance takes place in a special place: an old abandoned family house in Estrela, yet another lost house that is reborn, even temporarily, thanks to our presence.
