Sertella septentrionalis de la série Artificialia

Two-piece series Spondylus Gaederopus et Northern Sertella  ( 2015 – 2016) made with shell, silver leaf, stainless steel, hair embroidery on silk and magnifying glass.

Winning work of the mention and the ASM acquisition prize at the Contextile biennial in 2016 in Portugal.

These objects are between nature and artefact, made from residual raw materials and traditional techniques. My objects, as in a cabinet of curiosities, reveal a rarity of origin and execution. My intention is to update them by interpreting ancient techniques with this repertoire of organic residues such as hair, but also silver, shells, silk, to create a universe of reconstituted nature.
