Traces II

Each stitch is a free and spontaneous gesture, capturing the very essence without restrictions. There is no predefined pattern, but rather an intuitive exploration of space and form. The embroidery process becomes a moving meditation, where I compose myself in the creative flow and let myself be guided by the inspiration of the moment. My embroideries begin with detailed drawings and photographs of lichens, taken in their natural environment. These preliminary studies allow me to closely observe their shapes, textures and colors, and then I interpret that information in the weaving with thread and needle. Like the lichens themselves, my embroideries are a fusion of diverse elements. I use a variety of techniques, mixing embroidery and painting.
