THEME: DIFFERENT
The theme of the IV Triennial provides an opportunity for reflection on deviation from the norm and aims to provoke the authors to experiment with techniques and materials.
ORGANIZATION AND SELECTION:
• The exhibition is organized by the Textiles section of the Union of Bulgarian Artists (UBA).
• The selection of works for participation is determined by an international jury, including representatives of the UBA and foreign artists and art critics.
• The organizers will publish a catalog of the exhibition.
• The working languages of the triennial are Bulgarian and English.
CONDITIONS FOR PARTICIPATION:
1. Anyone who has presented a work made in textile and other techniques and/or textile and other materials can apply for participation in the exhibition.
2. Each author can participate with one work, except in cases where the work is a diptych, triptych, etc.
3. The work must not exceed dimensions of 20x20x20 cm, including a possible pedestal or frame (smaller sizes are not only permissible, but also recommended). Works exceeding the mentioned dimensions, incorrectly filled in the participation form, will not be exhibited in the exhibition, even if they have been approved by the jury.
4. Framing is allowed only if it is ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY.
5. The works are submitted for review as digital photos – from 1 to 3 pieces, so that it is clear what the original looks like. Good quality photos are essential to maximize your chances of selection. Files must be in JPEG or TIFF format with a sufficiently high resolution or, if taken with a phone, in Actual Size. The file should be named with the author’s name, written in Latin letters if possible (e.g., AnaFox.jpg).
The file size should be between 1mb and 3mb and sent no later than 00:00 on September 5, 2026 to the email below
