In this soft sculpture, I have folded the fabric with small hand stitches, generating textures and creating organic shapes intuitively. Curves, spirals, and recesses give rise to a primary form that symbolizes processes of change, evolution, and transformation. The shapes converge to evoke cycles of existence and change.
On the other hand, the cavity created between the folds acts as a space for introspection and connection with the spiritual. Historically, caves have been places where human communities have sought refuge, both physically and symbolically. In many cultures, these spaces are seen as portals to the unknown and the sacred.
In this piece, the shapes of the snail and the cave converge to evoke cycles of existence and change. It is a reflection on origin, return, and personal evolution. This work encourages us to slow down and find refuge in our inner nature.
